Welcome to the Chariho Career and Technical Center Website!
This upcoming year is an extremely exciting time for the Chariho community with renovations being completed throughout the campus and at our Center. At the Chariho Career and Technical Center, we offer all eligible students the unique opportunity of completing high school with both a high school diploma and a certificate or national certification in the industry area of student choice. In addition, some of our programs offer college credit and this upcoming year we will be working on implementing dual enrollment courses within our programs. All of our graduates have the opportunity to further their education towards post-secondary pathways such as two-four year colleges, universities, and technical schools.
Our faculty and staff are committed to supporting all students in meeting both high academic and industry standards and supporting our district’s mission of ensuring “all students meet high academic standards and are prepared for life long learning and productive global citizenship.” With various support and guidance in place, our students shall be provided with choices in order to share their passion for learning and become accountable and responsible for making positive decisions.

Our program of studies includes Automotive and Diesel Technology; Graphic Communications and Printing Technology; Carpentry; Culinary Arts; Cosmetology; Computer Technology; Drafting and Design Technology; Health Occupations/EMT; Hospitality and Event Planning; Marine Technology; Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Heating Technologies and our newest Electrical Technology and Renewable Energy Sources.

We are a regional facility serving the communities of Block Island, Charlestown, Hopkinton, Narragansett, South Kingstown, Richmond, and Westerly. As such, all students from these communities have the right to attend the Center at the expense of the home district.
