Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts students gain skills required to enter a large variety of food service careers. The students become proficient in many basic and advanced skills including cooking, baking and table service. A full service restaurant is operated by the students so they have the opportunity to learn in a realistic environment. Students also concentrate on menu planning, food safety, sanitation and management skills. The Chariho Culinary Arts Program was one of the first programs in the country to be certified by the American Culinary Federation. Upon successful completion of the program, students receive certificates from the Restaurant Association Educational Foundation for Servsafe Training and from Health Communications for TIPS
