Chariho Career and Technical Center is the regional career and technical center serving the communities of Chariho (Charlestown, Hopkinton, and Richmond), Block Island, Narragansett, South Kingstown, and Westerly. Students from neighboring communities may apply to Chariho Career and Technical Center for programs not offered in their own career and technical center.
Regulations from the Rhode Island Board of Regents governing Career and Technical Education state that all students have the right to apply to a technical center. Applicants shall be “guaranteed consideration for placement” if their application is received by February 15th. Late applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis and is dependant upon program availability.
Most programs at the Chariho Career and Technical Center are nationally certified, three year programs. Applications from incoming tenth graders will be considered first. Other applications will be considered based upon availability.
